A forest filled with towering birch trees; A mountain that offers a swift exit downhill via neon slide; A greenhouse filled with flourishing plants and live butterflies — these might sound like sights you’d only see in a park or garden, but you’ll actually find them indoors at Badlands Playspace.
The recently unveiled playground in Rockville brings the great outdoors inside, recreating some of Mother Nature’s most beautiful elements in an enclosed space that’s open rain, shine, or blizzard. Bring your kids to the Labyrinth to commune with nature as they meander through trees and feel “grassy” meadows beneath their feet. Watch as they climb through tunnels, climb up rock faces and zip down slides at the Mountain, or check out the Workshop, where they can create to their hearts’ content while observing everything that’s going on beyond the glass walls. Badlands Playspace also hosts a rotating exhibit that will change every three months, and it’s currently an exhibit featuring live butterflies.
