You’re working hard to unearth ancient treasures in King Tut’s tomb, slowly chipping away at the rock and sand that stand in your way. But suddenly, you hear a commotion overhead. The light that floods in from the tomb’s exit is suddenly blotted out, then everything goes dark and quiet. It quickly becomes obvious that you’re trapped. How will you escape? By solving a series of riddles and puzzles with friends, of course — or at least, that’s the protocol for getting out of the Pharoah’s Quest at Rockville Escape Room, which plops you down right in the middle of the aforementioned scenario.
It’s the most challenging room in the place, so the Pharoah’s Quest is not for the faint of heart. If you’re coming with kids, for instance, you may want to try the Great Diamond Heist instead. This room actually puts you on the side of the “bad guys” as you’re lured into a plan to pull off one of the biggest diamond heists ever. Complete the task and escape the room in 60 minutes, or you and your team lose.
