The chocolatiers at SPAGnVOLA go above and beyond when it comes to their craft. They source high-quality cacao beans from the shop’s own farm in the Dominican Republic and take great pains to transform those beans into artisan chocolates unlike any you’ll find elsewhere in DC. Watch them work when you come to the Free Chocolate Factory Tour on Sunday, January 21st.
Like every other Sunday, the chocolate factory will open its doors to the public from 2 to 6:30 p.m. RSVP and sign up for a time slot on SPAGnVOLA’s website to get a glimpse behind the scenes. You’ll get to walk through the factory as staffers roast, winnow, grind, and refine the cacao beans and create truffles, bonbons, and chocolate bars. Afterwards, stop by the store to pick up any treat that you’re interested in trying.
