Newly opened Pho Saigon in Rockville ticks all the boxes for local Vietnamese-food lovers. Authentic flavors, traditional ingredients, and never-leave-you-hungry portion sizes make Pho Saigon an early favorite among Yelp reviewers. Expect a large dining area, plenty of seating, and great service in the unassuming little strip mall restaurant just a few doors down from Taipei Café.
Pho is, of course, the specialty of the house, but that’s just the beginning. The menu also features bahn mi, grilled dishes, rice and noodles, and plenty of appetizers like spring or summer rolls, grilled shrimp with fish sauce and savory chicken salad. For fans of Mi La Cay in Wheaton, Pho Saigon is operated by the same owner and has an almost-identical offering. No more trekking across town for spicy papaya salad, crispy Maryland chicken noodle soup, or grilled lemongrass beef.
Pho Saigon opens daily at 10 a.m., and is a great option for takeout when you’re on the go.
