Under the heading of ‘looking on the bright side’, it’s finally Spring and you have more time than ever to enjoy nature and the simple pleasures of being outside. Tucked just a short drive away from downtown Rockville, Croydon Creek Nature Center is a peaceful little oasis worth discovering. The Nature Center sits atop 120 acres of natural forest preserve, giving you plenty of space to keep your distance from other visitors. Pack a picnic, take a brisk walk, or introduce your little ones to the plants about to bloom. A creek also winds through the preserve, and comes to life this time of year with tiny creatures.
Take the time to explore the preserve in all of its natural beauty, and keep the Nature Center in mind for when life gets back to normal. While the Nature Center is now closed due to the COVID crisis, the summer brings hands-on exhibits and programs that are fun and informative for all ages.
