A new restaurant in Gaithersburg — Rooh Bistro — is serving up fresh, authentic food from southeast Asia. Locals say the food is delicious and the prices are affordable.
The menu is large and offers plenty of variety, including numerous types of curry, entrees like butter chicken and tikka masala, and tandoori, a dish that’s made in a clay pit oven and marinated in yogurt and spices.
Some highly rated dishes include chicken dhania korma, a unique dish that’s often not found at Indian restaurants, as well as mumbai fish curry, and paneer tikka masala. Guests say the spices are strong and you can tell the food is fresh — it can take a bit longer to come out than it might at other restaurants. Don’t forget the naan bread! It’s fresh and tasty, and comes in a few different flavors: garlic, butter, and kashmeri bread, which is stuffed with dry fruits and nuts.
The restaurant itself is casual, making it a great weeknight or lunch spot, and there’s a kids’ menu, too. It is located in a convenient spot in a shopping complex, with plenty of parking. During the pandemic, Rooh Bistro is offering delivery and takeout.
