You can finally stop crowding into the busy supermarket every weekend—it’s farmers’ market season! Rockville Farmers’ Market opened for business on June 6 and plans to continue each Saturday all through the summer and fall. Find the market in the Jury parking lot at the corner of Route 28 and Monroe Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Shop fresh produce, baked goods, and plants from King Mushroom Farm, Metro Microgreens, Scenic View Orchard, and Praline Bakery to name a few. There will also be prepared foods onsite courtesy of Charlie’s Empanadas and Giacomo’s Brick Over Pizzeria. Yum! Rockville Farmers’ Market has everything you need to stock your home with locally produced foods, plus it’s a valuable way to support the businesses that were deeply impacted by the recent pandemic.
The market is adhering to strict regulations to keep patrons safe, so read up on the restrictions before you visit. A full list of guidelines, and the markets’ vendors, can be found online.
